Journalism students at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens received an introductory fact checking training carried out by ex CNN Greece News Anchor and current Fact Checking Manager at ATC, Christos Gavalas. The initiative was part of the Computational Journalism Lab (CJL) activities in the context of ANALYSIS Project and looked among other things, at patterns of disinformation, as well as at understanding the importance of crucial fact checking parameters, such as archiving, search on social media, metadata analysis, reverse image and video searching, geolocation and the challenges being brought about by AI.
